ME AS A TEACHER

I have always thought that we are much more than transmisors of knowledge. That means that we teach Maths, Basque or English but we teach to respect, to listen, to help, to think, etc. It is something really difficult because we are normal people and we have got a lot of students, each one different from the others, with different characters, different situations at home, and all this make things more complicated for us. Nevertheless I think that our pupils can be young, not stupid, and they see what we do. It's a hard work, but our reward is really nice when they treat you well or they miss you.
Now we have got another challenge: we have to teach them using some new tools which implies not only new resources but a new approach and viewpoint in teaching. The only thing staying is that teachers and pupils are people, normal people, and we have to keep on our relationships face to face. FANTASTIC!!!!

Here you are a presentation with a lot of sentences I think we should bear in mind. I hope you would like it.

  1. Hello Josune! I share your point of view but sometimes I think that we are not so "normal": we are a little bit crazy, don´t you think so? Even if we have to face some hard situations at work, we get rewarded when suddenly our students surprise us with a new idea, with something they have learnt or just with a smile.
